The resort was built on a spacious 5000m2 lot and consists of a restaurant with bar, swimming pool and 12 rooms housed in 6 spacious duplex cottages. All cottages are made out of native materials, such as bamboo and wood and are covered with nipa (leaves) roofs, giving the resort a very natural, authentic look. Alona Beach is also a haven for divers because of the Alona Beach Sanctuary, a shallow dive spot that is home to anemones and multicolored corals, which is only a five-minute boat ride away from the beach area.
